Is constipation normal on the HCG diet?

If I have Diabetes can I do the HCG diet?
"In an obese patient suffering from a fairly advanced case of stable diabetes [Type II diabetes] of many years duration in which the blood sugar may range from 3-400 mg%, it is often possible to stop all antidiabetic medication after the first few days of treatment [with hCG]. The blood sugar continues to drop from day to day and often reaches normal values in 2-3 weeks. As in pregnancy, this phenomenon is not observed in the brittle type of diabetes [Type I diabetes], and as some cases that are predominantly stable may have a small brittle factor in their clinical makeup, all obese diabetics have to be kept under a very careful and expert watch.
A brittle case of diabetes is primarily due to the inability of the pancreas to produce sufficient insulin, while in the stable type, diencephalic regulations seem to be of greater importance. That is possibly the reason why the stable form responds so well to the hCG method of treating obesity, whereas the brittle type does not. Obese patients are generally suffering from the stable type, but a stable type may gradually change into a brittle one, which is usually associated with a loss of weight. Thus, when an obese diabetic finds that he is losing weight without diet or treatment, he should at once have his diabetes expertly attended to. There is some evidence to suggest that the change from stable to brittle is more liable to occur in patients who are taking insulin for their stable diabetes."

What does 3X, 6X, 12X, 30X, and 60X mean?
X Scale | C Scale | Ratio | Note | ||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ø | Ø | 1:1 | mother tincture (undiluted) | ||||||||
1X | — | 1:10 | described as low potency by homeopaths, 1x is not considered homeopathic and requires a prescription to use | ||||||||
2X | 1C | 1:100 | called higher potency than 1X by homeopaths, 2x is considered the base lowest level of potency by homeopaths although the base material and active ingredients are in it's highest concentration in this form. | ||||||||
6X | 3C | 10−6 | called higher potency than 2-5x by homeopaths, even though the active ingredient is less prevalent at this stage, homeopaths term this to be more potent that 1x through 5x based on the theory of "water memory" termed by homeopaths, while no scientific evidence supports this theory, clinical evidence has clashed against this repeatedly portraying that patients taking 6x have reportedly experienced the same effect and result as those on a 0 scale of pure mixture. | ||||||||
8X | 4C | 10−8 | As the dilution reaches this level it begins to become nearly impossible for our current days technology labs to find the active ingredient from when it started. | ||||||||

24X | 12C | 10−24 | |||||||||
60X | 30C | 10−60 | This tier is where they find the homeopathic remedy to be at its own peak performance level, although scientific evidence portrays no support on its effectiveness since the original ingredient to be found would nearly be nonexistant. | ||||||||
400X | 200C | 10−400 | Dilution of popular homeopathic flu remedy Oscillococcinum | ||||||||

Am I supposed to gain weight while on TOM? Should I do the diet at all? Should I take the drops?

Who is Dr. A.T.W. Simeons?
More than 50 years ago, Dr. Albert T. Simeons, a British-born physician, contended that HCG injections would enable dieters to subsist comfortably on a 500-calorie-a-day diet. He claimed that HCG would mobilize stored fat; suppress appetite; and redistribute fat from the waist, hips, and thighs. He spent years studying patients suffering from obesity; which became the foundation of a weight loss program that used a medication called HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin), a hormone produced when a woman becomes pregnant. Dr. Simeons theorized that if HCG can utilize the body’s own fat reserves for nutrition to the body in periods of deprivation, then a small amount administered daily in non-pregnant women and men may assist in weight loss.
There is no scientific evidence to support these claims. Moreover, a 500-calorie (semi-starvation) diet is likely to result in loss of protein from vital organs, and HCG can cause other adverse effects. Dr. Simeon’s HCG diet has become a phenomenon among those who desire to lose weight quickly and efficiently. The news of how the HCG diet is helping overweight and obese people lose fat and inches without extensive amounts of strenuous exercise is all over the web, on television, in newspapers and magazines.

I've heard that the HCG diet starts with something called "loading days." What is that?
The emphasis here is on consuming foods high in FAT. You may eat whatever you want, but fats are what you need to focus on these loading days. Loading days are to help your body set up the new hCG in your system to start burning fat. You will want to eat or 'load up' on as many fatty foods as you can possibly stand. Dr. Simeons' Protocol states to 'eat to capacity' for those first 2 days on the hCG. The consequence if you don't has been for many to discover that their hunger is still there and can become uncomfortable. If you 'load' properly, you will find that the hCG begins right away to scavenge needed calories from your abnormal fat stores (the really annoying ones like in the gut) so that you feel no real hunger at all.
You DO need to take the hCG on loading days. The loading works with the hCG to prep your bod for the changes coming. There are two primary reasons for loading:1. The hCG effect of burning your abnormal fat stores for fuel does not kick in until the third dose, so eating 500 calories without this effect of hCG will cause you problems in terms of losing structural fat and being extremely hungry until it does kick in. 2. You need to replenish the structural fat stores that are usually depleted in dieting, assuming that you have dieted without hCG in the past.Thursday, September 8, 2011
Can I exercise while taking HCG?

What if i cheated Big Time!? Can i get my HCG diet back on track?
If your gonna cheat do it right. The most important thing about cheating on the HCG diet is to pick the right food. Don't go off the deep end and eat a giant piece of cheesecake or a super-sized burger combo meal. There's a better way to cheat and give your taste buds a little vacation while still playing it safe. Some people have discovered HCG diet cheats that don't stall their weight loss at all. Here are some good cheats that won't kill the diet. Watermelon, Whole wheat crackers, Cottage cheese, Turkey, American Beef. Also if you want sweet try putting an apple or grapefruit heat up some pieces in the oven then sprinkle cinnamon. Its way good!
"What should I do if I cheat?" Presumably, if caved and pigged gave in and feel like giving up. Remember you're human, so not to worry. You just have to suck it up and go back on to work on your HCG diet. You can do it you just gotta use that good ole self control it just takes practice but i know you can do it!

Can i continue taking my medications while on the HCG diet?
Once I finish my HCG diet what can i do to keep the weight off? What is Maintenance Phase?
Friday, September 2, 2011
Will HCG help with my diabetes?
The HCG diet can actually help prevent diabetes. Some of the best ways to prevent diabetes is to eat healthy, become active and of course, lose weight. While on the HCG diet, the dieter will eat healthy, whole foods that will help you establish new eating habits to help maintain your weight in the future. Diabetes is becoming an epidemic in the US. It is now the 7th leading cause of death in the United States using HCG to lose weight, along with a healthy diet and exercise afterwards, is believed to help lower that number.
Dr. Simeons discovered that it could actually help obese patients lose enough weight that they can eventually discontinue their diabetes medications. In Pounds & Inches he stated, ‘In an obese patient suffering from a fairly advanced case of stable diabetes of many years duration in which the blood sugar my range from 3-400 mg%, it is often possible to stop all anti-diabetic medication after the first few days of treatment. The blood sugar continues to drop from day to day and often reaches normal values in 2-3 weeks.’ Of course, you’ll want to consult your physician before discontinuing any prescribed medications.

I can’t sleep because I am so hungry! What do I do?
The HCG diet promises fantastic, quick, healthy weight loss, without hunger pains. And it really works, but the fact is some people do get hunger pains while taking HCG. One thing we have noticed with our own customers is that the hcg diet hunger pains are usually only experienced by those who have about 20 pounds or less to lose. Those with more weight to lose usually don't have this problem.
Also may i recommend tying a good supplement to help you out while on the diet that can give you that added hunger fighting power and added energy that you need while taking HCG diet drops. Its called ChromeMate. Also another thing that may help with hunger is to look at the frequency of drops that you are taking.
When I say frequency I mean how many times a day are you taking the drops. Many times by increasing the frequency of your drops the less hunger you will experience. So if you’re taking HCG diet drops 3 times then change the frequency to 4 times a day and so forth. I would suggest just increasing your frequency by one extra dose a day at a time until you reach results. So if your having a lot of hunger and can't sleep give that a try!

What is the Homeopathy in Homeopathic Drops? Do they work?
The "Homeopathy" in Homeopathic HCG Drops means that it is a form of alternative medicine that local businesses can sell without a practitioners license to treat people using a highly diluted version of the hcg formula. Some physicians, have discovered that people are getting comparable results not only using the HCG hormone injections but also with the Homeopathic version of HCG. The difference between the two treatments is that the HCG hormone is not injected directly and it is taken orally. Is made into a homeopathic remedy (diluted hundreds of times and potentized) so that it is an energetic imprint of the original substance that works in the body on an energetic level.
Homeopathic HCG drops are developed using the principles of homeopathic medicine. Homeopathic HCG drops really do work. Obese people who want to cut some extra pounds from their body should try the diet drops. Homeopathic drops are taken per day and will help the body crunch the unused fat hidden in the body and utilize them in metabolism. In this way the visible bulges will get a toned appearance and the weight will in many ways seem to fall right off the body.

What are starches and why can’t I have them?
Starches contain at least 15 grams of carbohydrates and gives off at least 80 calories per serving. Starch is the most common carbohydrate in the human diet and is contained in large amounts in such foods as potatoes, wheat, maize (corn) and rice. Starch is also contained in many of our snack foods such as chips, bread, crackers, cereal, and desserts.
Pure starch is a white, tasteless and odorless powder that is insoluble in cold water or alcohol. While on the HCG Diet we can and need to learn to avoid starch in whatever form it takes. But once we reach P4 of the hcg diet plan we can eat starch but we must learn to limit our starchy intake. Basically measure your starchy intake with this as your motto. “If your scale says yes then you can.” If the scale doesn’t agree with the amount of starches you intake, then leave them alone. I would give you a list of good starches but there really aren’t any. But what I can suggest is that you stick to vegetable’s they are awesome and so very good for you! So there you have it my dissertation on starches hope that info helps.

What about refined sugars? What are they and why are they bad?
Refined sugar is void of all nutrients; consequently it causes the body to deplete its own stores of various vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Refined sugar contains no fiber, no minerals, no proteins, no fats, no enzymes, only empty calories. What happens when you eat a refined carbohydrate like sugar? Your body must borrow vital nutrients from healthy cells to metabolize the incomplete food.
You can find refined sugars in such foods as. Skittles and Starbursts, Reese’s, Chocolate chips cookies, cake, donuts, frozen yogurt, ice cream, pies, and basically any of those wonderful sugary treats we have come to love that we can’t eat while on the HCG Diet. But there is hope! There is sugar that is good for us that we can eat while on your HCG Diet. It is natural sugar!
This is sugar before it is taken and processed into a crystallized state or liquid form. Many of the natural good sugars are located in the fruits. So stick with fruits while on your HCG diet plan and you can’t go wrong. Just don’t go overboard.

Why is there no taste to the HCG?
I don't like the feeling that I can't do a number two. What should I do?

The HCG taste like water, and I'm not losing weight!
The Maintenance Phase and Steak Day
After 23 days of taking the daily hCG hormone, dieters move into the phase 3, a.k.a. Maintenance phase of the HCG diet. In the following three weeks, dieters are instructed to weigh themselves every morning to ensure they are not gaining more than two pounds. If a dieter gains more than two pounds over his last dose day weight, even if this is only a few ounces, he should immediately take certain weight correction procedure on the same day in order to lose the extra pounds.

What if i get a cold while taking HCG or I already use medications? Is my diet doomed!?
This is really a good question, especially because a lot of us get colds during this time of year when the seasons change. Unfortunately if you get a cold on the HCG Diet, it can sometimes cause you to gain a little bit of weight. But there are some things that you can take if you do get sick.At the first sign of a cold, you want to take large doses of Vitamin C. It can also be combined with an antihistamine. And if you have been prescribed an antibiotic by your doctor, you can take that too.
For those who are taking medication I would recommend that you keep taking your medication while on the HCG diet plan. Never stop taking your medication unless you get the ok from your doctor. :) You should continue taking any drugs that are medically necessary, but it is important to disclose all medications and the diet protocol to your doctor before starting the HCG diet plan. The goal of the HCG diet is to improve your health, not worsen it, so no prescription should be discontinued without your doctor's orders. That said, some medication may slow your weight loss results, although the effect is unavoidable. But you will still be able to lose weight it just might not be at a fast rate like those who do not take medications while on HCG. But do not let this discourage you from begging or continuing the diet.

Where does HCG come from?
Every batch of hCG is then tested for its safety before distribution to human beings to ensure it's safety and zero levels of micro-contaminants within the mixture.
Miracle noodles on HCG diet. What are they, and where can I get them?
Shirataki or miracle noodles were originally developed in Asia, but they have recently come to the attention of people around the world. Because these noodles have almost no "bad" carbohydrates. Miracle Noodles are 100% calorie free, soy free and they are gluten free product that can be incorporated with your HCG diet.Miracle noodles contain soluble fibers and iron that mainly help in slowing down the digestion process thus delaying the sense of fullness during the diet. When your digestion slows down, your body begins to absorb more nutrients.
People have said that they say that they can taste fishy and have a bitter taste. But there is hope for you noodle lovers. I have been told that if you rinse them then put them in the microwave to dry them out a bit they will yield a better taste. How you do this is microwave them for one minute on high, then drain them in a strainer and pat dry with a paper towel. Again after they microwave and you have them dry a bit, the noodles will be able to soak up whatever sauce you put on them and that their texture is better. You can buy them at many local Asian stores more and more seem to be carrying them these days. You can also get them at any health food store in the refrigerated section. Last you can order them online. So give them a try!

Why doesn't HCG show up on a pregnancy test?
It is also important to know that homeopathics work on frequency of dose NOT amount of dose. This is why taking fewer drops more frequently gives better results than taking more drops less often. To better explain...if you drank the entire bottle of homepathic drops it would be the equivalent of taking one dose. This is why homeopathics are safe for pregnant women and infants. It is also why you rarely see a homeopathic product with a safety lid.
Now, working with the drops, if there is a need to increase dose past 8 drops 6 times daily, I would recommend adding a frequency instead of one more drop. So, I would have someone change to 6 drops 7 times daily first and then add drops if necessary to the new dosing frequency. I would do that because of what I stated in the previous paragraph -- "homeopathics work on frequency of dose NOT amount of dose". Increasing frequency increases the concentration of the dose to a more potent concentration.
I'm a vegan or vegetarian is there a substitute on the steak day for the steak?

Dr. Oz's input on the HCG diet!
Eager to be known by many is the information given by Dr Oz on HCG. HCG, scientifically known as Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, is a natural protein hormone that develops in the placenta of pregnant women during the first trimester. It is believed that this hormone can send signals to the hypothalamus to break down and use abnormally high contents of body fat as a fuel source.
The HCG diet is one which requires a daily shot of the hormone as well as a low calorie intake; the recommended amount of calories that should be eaten a day is five hundred. If a five hundred calorie diet is done without HCG the body will start to break down muscles and cause resting metabolic rate to decrease. HCG stops this from happening by tricking the body into thinking the correct amount of calories needed is being ingested.
HCG injections for weight loss are given under the skin and in muscles. Improper administration of the shot may lead to cramps and pain. Though this hormone is produced by women during pregnancy it can be taken by both men and women in order to lose weight. The hormone can now be found in the form of pills and oral drops in drug stores and online.
This is a useful way of reducing fatty muscles however, the 500 calorie diet must be stuck to for it to work efficiently. If the diet is followed correctly it is possible to lose 1 pound a day. When the hormone is dissolved it circulates through the blood stream and turns fat into calories therefore increasing metabolism and enhancing weight loss.
The oral drops of HCG is diluted and much more effective than the injections as it is taken sublingually and dissolves into the blood stream much quicker. The better method for use is the oral method as it eliminates pain and is absorbed by the body much faster therefore giving better results.
Statements made by Dr Oz on HCG shows that a diet like this has been long awaited by many. It has been believed to be the miracle of weight loss by some persons. Consult with a doctor and try this diet today and see the results that can be obtained.
HCG drops or injections?
The first question a person may ask is which one is safer? Let’s face it no one want’s to put anything into their body if it is not safe. Both methods of obtaining HCG are safe as long as they are purchased through a reputable source. However, HCG injections are more difficult to obtain: they must be procured from a doctor's prescription or obtained from an overseas pharmacy. HCG oral drops are available without prescriptions just make sure that they are made from manufacturers based in America.
Another one of the reasons for oral HCG is its convenience in use. Oral drops can be administered from the comfort of your home and can travel fairly well and be taken on the go. While the latter can only be administered by a medical office or you need to receive specific training before use. For safety purposes, it is more suggested that you go to a clinic for injections and this can take a significant amount of time.
Which method is cheaper? Oral HCG is definitely the winner here. Because HCG shots must be obtained either through a prescription or else shipped from overseas, they are costly and time-consuming to obtain. On the other hand, HCG drops are available locally and without a prescription. A single ounce of the homeopathic remedy will last for 2 weeks.
If you are ready to start the HCG diet program, then it’s time to decide which method would work best for you. Fortunately in this world that we live in we have become a people of alternatives. There is an alternative method available if injections are too painful or scary or just simply too costly. This means there is absolutely no reason for you to fail with the HCG diet plan. Pick the plan that’s right for you and take the journey to a better life.

No eyeliner, lotion, or make-up! OH MY!
In the world of HCG diet participants, HCG companies, and even the medical clinics have said that lotions, soaps, creams, deodorants, make-ups, etc. can’t or doesn’t affect the your HCG diet, they can tell you till they're blue in the face but the fact is Dr. Simeons’ manuscript does not lie. There has also been many, many slow-ups, stalls, or gains simply because HCG diet participants were using one or more personal care items that are not allowed on the HCG diet.
In the protocol Dr. Simeons devoted an entire page in his manuscript to this issue. He says, “When no dietary error is elicited we turn to cosmetics". Most women find it hard to believe that fats, oils, creams and ointments applied to the skin are absorbed and interfere with weight reduction just as if they had been eaten. Many women are horrified when told that for the duration of treatment they cannot use face creams or have facial massages. It is an interesting fact to think that we could gain weight by simply touching something that has fats and oils in it and that it can be absorbed into our skin.
Honestly it is my opinion to just let your body be the decider. You either gain weight or stall in your weight loss because you use eyeliner or mascara, lotions, make-ups. If that is the case I suggest don't use it or find alternatives that don’t contain fats and oils. If your weight loss isn’t changed or affected and everything is fine then feel free to use it with the HCG protocol. I know of many who have been able to use make-up and still got amazing results. So go for it! Just make sure to check your results!

Is carbonated water with a twist of lemon, lime, or stevia ok?
So to answer the question about soda water and drinking it while on your HCG diet plan. I would say you can drink soda water but only soda water with little to no flavoring. You could use flavoring like a twist of lemon or lime but only a very little. If your soda water is a zero calories drink, it should be fine.Stevia can be but it is suggested to use very little as well. You don't want to go over board with the flavoring. Other wise the sweetness could tempt you in to becoming the cookie monster and have you chasing after those sweets.
The restrictions for drinking carbonated water has not been disapproved in the book pounds and inches. For those who are firm followers of pounds and inches this is good news for HCG dieters and it means that carbonated water is on the list of approved beverages. There are other sources that say that carbonated water in it's entirety is off the list. So which side you will be on? Well.......inevitably the choice that remains is yours. Let your body and the results help you make the choice. Just remember like grandma used to say - all things in moderation. Don't go overboard! Good luck to everyone!

Why do I get so tired while on the HCG diet?
A lack of energy, fatigue or feeling physically weak is a common side effect of the HCG diet. The fatigue is a result of the extreme caloric restrictions that your HCG diet requires. You may also want to try a supplement to help you keep those energy levels up! Many people while on the HCG diet try taking Vitamin B-12 complex to boost energy and to use it as a natural necessity for a healthy metabolism.
Another thing that your HCG diet may be lacking is potassium. It is important that you are getting enough potassium in your diet. Eating Foods high in potassium will change your physical and mental energy in just hours. Low potassium leads to general weakness and malaise. Eat high potassium foods, every day and if you can't get the potassium out of foods you can also get it in a supplemental form as well. So there are a couple of options that can help boost your energy while taking HCG. Good luck everyone!

Reasons Why the HCG Diet is Perfect
Modern medicine has been continuously working on improving the health of several people. More and more techniques, medications, and other methods are produced in order to achieve a healthier body. Controlling your weight might be difficult, but with diligence and commitment, you can achieve your goal. Well it’s time to put the diligence and commitment towards something that will give you amazing results. That something is called the HCG diet.
For those who have been trying all their lives to lose some weight, then you are assured that this technique will take effect not longer than five hundred days. This type of technique is perfect to those people who are obese and overweight. The HCG diet will enable you to lose up to one or two pounds per day! Other techniques and supplements have come fairly close, but have yet to surpass the outstanding effect and results of the HCG diet. And aside from that HCG hormone is not intrusive to our health and using it will not require recovery time.
You can buy HCG and you can find it available both online and offline markets. There are plenty of websites which offer this incredible weight-losing program. This technique is an all-natural way to lose weight and there are no reported side effects in using this dieting program. It is suggested to ask for a medicine instruction from your physician or from a health expert before attempting the HCG diet.
The HCG hormone is naturally produced and helps in regulating stored fats in the body and that is why the HCG diet really works. It makes it easier to reduce weight while maintaining a healthy body. Every diet plan has a basic minimum limit of five hundred calorie intake per day and requires dieters to stay away from starches and refined sugars. The HCG diet will change your quality of life and will create healthy habits that you can use for all generations. They say that the HCG diet is the cure for obesity. I don’t know if it’s a cure but it’s a great start!
